"Welcome to Washington!" (photo from flicr.com) |
Is Washington just a small village in a countryside? Absolutely no, you would answer. You'd say that Washington is one of the largest cities in the United States and has more than six million inhabitants. I also used to think so until I began to watch "Grey's Anatomy". As more I watch, as more I become convinced that Washington is nothing more than a miserable place with a pair of houses and couple of hundreds of people living in there. Probably there is also two little food shops, one McDonald and one post office. Why do I think so? This is my conclusion from the fact that there is only one pub in Washington as it is seen in "Grey's Anatomy" series. Every evening all the doctors of Seattle Grace Hospital go to the same tavern and meet each other and I can't imagine other reason why should they do that than an absolutely lack of other cafes or pubs. The nearest next pub, credibly, is some fifty miles away and it would be too complicated to move so far. Oh, what a terrible life in such a small village...
